Harnser’s Blog Extra!
Although I haven’t been keeping exact count, its come to my attention that Harnser’s Blog is probably a little over three years old now.
Thus, a little like the Eiffel Tower and the London Eye, what was originally meant to be a temporary project has gone on and on and on (and on) and shows little to no sign of stopping yet.
Much of, if not all, of the credit for that is down to you, my subscribers and readers.
It always sounds trite when someone in the media makes the effort to thank people for their support.
Sometimes it sounds half hearted, a contractually obliged obligation and box ticked.
When I say it, I genuinely mean it. Your support, feedback, comments, praise and criticism are most heartily welcomed and greatly appreciated. You need to be here to witness my response whenever it happens but, believe me, every single example brings a feel good factor to my day that cannot be measured on any conventional scale.
Antonio and me, brothers in books! (ECL)
Harnser’s Blog is, as you will be aware by now, a bit of a literary potpourri, dealing with, as it does, assorted locations around Norfolk and the UK (with the occasional hop further afield) that have long held my fascination-usually because of their history or if there is an element of mystery or danger involved.
But, as much as I enjoy writing it every week, the blogs very nature meant that I wasn’t ever working with people-my first and main passion in writing and the stories they have to tell.
So I’m starting a new one to run alongside this one.
It’s called Harnser’s People and will focus on one specific individual per blog-primarily in the form of a written interview with them which means, of course, the content will be new and exclusive to that blog.
Some of the people featured in Harnser’s People will be well known, others will not.
But they will all have a story to tell. Which means each and every blog will be about them, their lives and their stories.
I hope you will feel inclined to subscribe and read some of them for yourselves.
Search on the Substack app or this page for Harnser’s People else let me know your e mail address and I will add you to the subscriber list.
If you are connected to me on Facebook or LinkedIn, they’ll also appear on those sites, so you’ll be able to read them and subscribe from there as well.
And one more thing-if you have a story that you’d like to share on here, else know someone who has one to tell and would like me to do so here, let me know.
Everyone has a story to tell. Let’s start telling and sharing them.
